In order to take
full advantage of Blue River fly fishing, you should head to the tail water
just below Lake Dillon. This area is one of the most famed locations for
fishing, and with the proper equipment, you should be able to reel in an
abundance of trout.
This body of
water is one of the few places in Colorado where Mysis shrimp, a favorite food
of trout, reside. As the shrimp go through the river, the fish scramble to eat
them. Through the use of imitation flies, you should be able to fool and
successfully catch the trout. Blue River fly fishing is an immensely rewarding
activity, and in this particular location, you will be able to fully understand
why.
